The National
Council on the Aging (NCOA), with support from the MetLife Foundation,
will award community demonstration grants of up to $12,500
each to 8 community organizations
that best demonstrate the capacity to effectively engage older adults in
volunteer efforts that address specific
community problems. Letters
of interest are due by close of business Dec. 15, 2003.

The Food and Nutrition Service
(FNS) is requesting grant
applications for the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) in
FY 2004. A total
of $15 million is available
for the FY 2004 SFMNP. Letter of intent is due Dec. 9, 2003 and grant applications
is due Jan. 16, 2003.

(RWJF) has selected 25 partnerships across the US to promote active living,
a way of life that integrates

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has selected 3 organizations
to participate in the 3-year pilot project aimed at improving care
for chronically ill Medicare
