HHS Weekly Report available online. Topics include osteoporosis and low bone mass, flu shot price gouging & others.
Senior Grants Program. Program provides funding to implement health promotion and disease prevention programs for older adults at state and local levels. Applications due by November 23, 2004. The Chronic Disease Directors with support from the CDC and AoA and National Association of State Units on Aging (NASUA).
Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality along with CDC, AoA, NIA, & CMS; conducting a workshop for stat & local policymakers December 6-7, 2004 at the Allegro Hotel, Chicago, IL on promting disease prevention approaches in community programs for the elderly. For info call (207) 874-6506.
