April kicks off National Public Health Week 2005, American Public Health Association (APHA) is asking elders and older adults and their families to assess their current health status, identify potential risks and create a plan for maintaining optimum health.
USDHHS National Institute of Health Mission is to combat high blood pressure in America. May 2005 is National High Blood Pressure Education Month
SPIRAL: Selected Patient Information Resources in Asian Languages. It is a joint initiative of the South Cove Community Health Center and Tufts University Health Sciences Library.
Georgia Launches Live Healthy Initiative. The purpose of improving the health outcomes for citizens of Georgia through activities that promote healthy eating and physical activity.

Food Stamp Program—Elderly nutrition demonstrations: Interim report on elderly participation patterns. Each demonstration is organized around one of three strategies to increase participation: simplify eligibility requirements for applying for food stamps, assist with the application process, or offer the option of receiving commodities each month instead of getting benefits through an electronic benefits transfer card.
Tracking your Meds chart. Tool for helping older adults keep track of medications and supplements.
The Living to 100 Life Expectancy Calculator. Translates longevity research of centenarians for individuals to estimate their longevity potential; Alliance for Aging Research.
Falls Free: National Action Plan Released. The National Council on the Aging (NCOA) have released Falls Free: Promoting a National Falls Prevention Action Plan.
